Exploring New Opportunities for Cooperation in Vietnam’s Environmental Market through ELODE Electro-Osmosis Dewatering Technology
BLUEWIN Co., Ltd. participated in ENTECH HANOI 2026, held in Hanoi, Vietnam, from June 24 to 26, 2026, where the company showcased its proprietary sludge reduction technology, ELODE (Electro-Osmosis Dewatering Equipment).
ENTECH HANOI is one of Vietnam’s leading exhibitions for the environmental and energy industries, bringing together companies, organizations, and industry professionals from across the region. Following its participation last year, BLUEWIN returned to the exhibition for the second consecutive year, further strengthening its foundation for cooperation in Vietnam and the broader Southeast Asian environmental market.
At this year’s exhibition, BLUEWIN introduced its ELODE electro-osmosis dewatering technology, which further reduces sludge after conventional mechanical dewatering, as well as the ELODE Combination System, which can be integrated with various types of downstream drying equipment.
ELODE is a secondary dewatering system designed for high-moisture sludge discharged from conventional primary dewatering equipment, including centrifuges, belt presses, screw presses, and filter presses. By utilizing electro-osmosis to effectively separate bound water from within the sludge, ELODE reduces sludge volume and weight while lowering the energy consumption and operating costs of subsequent drying processes.
During the exhibition, BLUEWIN highlighted the following key advantages of ELODE:
- Reduced transportation and disposal costs through significant sludge volume and weight reduction
- Lower energy consumption compared with conventional thermal drying systems
- Reduced drying time and energy use when integrated with downstream drying equipment
- An environmentally friendly dewatering process without the additional use of chemicals
- Stable operation with minimized odor, dust, and secondary pollution
- A compact system configuration suitable for sites with limited installation space
Throughout the exhibition, BLUEWIN held a wide range of consultations with Vietnamese water treatment and environmental equipment companies, industrial operators, engineering firms, and representatives from relevant organizations. Visitors showed strong interest not only in reducing sludge treatment costs, but also in lowering carbon emissions, minimizing installation space, and integrating ELODE with existing dewatering systems.
High transportation costs and substantial energy consumption associated with drying industrial wastewater sludge and sewage sludge were identified as major challenges within Vietnam’s environmental market. In response, BLUEWIN plans to continue assessing the applicability of ELODE based on the sludge characteristics and treatment capacity of each site, while pursuing technical cooperation and identifying potential projects with local partners.
The exhibition provided more than an opportunity to introduce BLUEWIN’s technology. It also served as a valuable platform to better understand the practical requirements of the Vietnamese environmental market and the direction of future sludge reduction solutions. Building on its experience from the previous year, BLUEWIN was able to engage in more detailed and in-depth discussions, demonstrating the continued growth of both its technology and global business capabilities.
BLUEWIN would like to express its sincere appreciation to the representatives of BEXCO, Today Energy, and KOTRA for their attentive support in ensuring the successful operation of the exhibition. We also extend our gratitude to the interpreters and all other individuals who contributed to effective communication between participating companies and local buyers.
Drawing on more than 40 years of experience in sludge treatment and its proprietary ELODE technology, BLUEWIN will continue to provide sludge reduction solutions tailored to the specific requirements of each country and project site. The company remains committed to contributing to sustainable water treatment and the advancement of a circular resource economy.
